Thomas Poulsen planned and facilitated Energy & Transport Summit III which took place on December 3, 2018 at the Copenhagen Business School Executive premises in Denmark. Here, some of the major global players in offshore wind and logistics met at the final conference of the Global Wind Energy Shipping and Logistics PhD research project. Presenters and panel discussions focused on what the future of the offshore wind value chain was expected to look like with focus on shipping and logistics. There was much to discuss at that point in time where the offshore wind turbines were getting bigger and the supply chain was globalizing. At the same time, the first offshore wind farms without government subsidies would soon be built and this had put pressure on costs. Nowhere in the wind industry were these changes felt more directly than within the area of logistics including transport on land, at sea, in the air and at hub points like ports and warehouses.
The conference also marked the launch of the new brand Panticon which merged our former brands under one. The brands P Solutions and Renewable Energy Solutions subsequently ceased to exist. To celebrate the launch of the brand, we have released a total of 10 free market reports on offshore wind in new markets outside North Europe..
